This itinerary was designed as a summer vacation for a family of four.
They wanted a destination that was easy to reach from the U.S., with a non-negotiable requirement that their children be immersed in a place where English was not the primary language. Their youngest son also had a deep love of volcanoes, which made the Arenal region a natural fit.
The final design balanced structured activities with time for free exploration and local discovery. The true standout of the trip was a stunning Airbnb featuring a private waterfall and panoramic views of the volcano, an unforgettable home base that elevated the entire experience.
This itinerary was designed for a husband and wife traveling through Scotland, Wales, England, and France to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary and to serve as the honeymoon they never took.
The trip required the careful integration of four fixed anchor events, multiple countries, and distinct travel styles, while still preserving space for rest, exploration, and meaningful shared moments.
The final design balanced structure with flexibility, weaving cultural highlights, slow travel days, and emotionally significant experiences, hobbies, and interests into a cohesive, magical journey.
This itinerary was designed as a long summer holiday weekend getaway for a family of four combining the magic of Disney with the awe and wonder of Kennedy Space Center.
The family drove from their own home in Florida for this itinerary.
